About the Speaker

Peter Merholz has been active in digital design and product for 25 years, most notably in building premier user experience consultancy, Adaptive Path, and now a design executive and product leader. He co-wrote Org Design for Design Orgs (O’Reilly), the first book focused on the organizational, managerial, and operational challenges of building in-house design teams.

About the Session

The real work of Design Leadership is not directing the work of UX/Design teams. The real work is evolving the organizations you’re part of to embrace UX/Design’s full potential. As such, Design Leadership is primarily Change Management, and in this talk, Peter shows you the key components you need to develop in order to effect that positive change.

What is the cancellation policy, in case something comes up and I cannot attend anymore?

While the time is going to fly by fast, we do understand it’s tough to estimate your workload, schedule, and life in advance.
You can get a 100% refund if you cancel up to a month before the summit. You can also request a 50% refund up to two weeks before the summit.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We’re working on getting some preferred rates for hotels close to the summit venue. We’ll keep you posted.

What does the summit price include?

Your ticket includes the access to the conference, an invite to the summit app and slack group. You’ll also get access to the DLS official party, some way cool swag, and all the fun activities we have planned at the event.

I need a visa in order to come to Canada for the Design Leadership Summit. Can you help with this?

Yes, we can write you a letter of recommendation for you to apply for a visa. Email support@designx.community your name, business address, and ticket order number. Please check with your local government office for any visas waiting periods
