About the Speaker

Dana is a Design Leader with more than 15 years of experience in the space. She’s currently leading product design for growth @ Instagram, improving access and helping people to connect to the people and things they love on Instagram.

Previously she led design for 0-1 incubation teams for Entertainment, Music & Audio @ Facebook, Rider Verticals Experiences at Airports, Travel and Premium @ Uber, and Driving Experiences in Google Maps, Google Street View & Cardboard Camera VR App, voted one of “Best Apps of 2015” by Mashable.

She’s excited about where technology and design meet to improve people’s lives, supporting designers in their growth and help teams push on vision and bring people together.

About the Session

I’ve been leading product design for growth in the past ~2 years in Instagram, and learned a lot about leading design for growth and still learning every day, and wanted to share some of those learnings with you. Designing for Growth is a fascinating space but sometimes gets a bad reputation – something I’m excited about turning around.

When leading a design team for Growth it’s all about Building a growth and beginner mindset – In my talk I’ll focus on how to build this mindset in 3 areas – Building your Growth TEAM, Growing your PRODUCT, and, Growing YOURSELF

What is the cancellation policy, in case something comes up and I cannot attend anymore?

While the time is going to fly by fast, we do understand it’s tough to estimate your workload, schedule, and life in advance.
You can get a 100% refund if you cancel up to a month before the summit. You can also request a 50% refund up to two weeks before the summit.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We’re working on getting some preferred rates for hotels close to the summit venue. We’ll keep you posted.

What does the summit price include?

Your ticket includes the access to the conference, an invite to the summit app and slack group. You’ll also get access to the DLS official party, some way cool swag, and all the fun activities we have planned at the event.

I need a visa in order to come to Canada for the Design Leadership Summit. Can you help with this?

Yes, we can write you a letter of recommendation for you to apply for a visa. Email support@designx.community your name, business address, and ticket order number. Please check with your local government office for any visas waiting periods
