About the Speaker

Emily Krause is the Managing Director of OCAD U CO, the Futures Design Studio of OCAD University. In this role, she architects Futures Design projects, working with senior innovation and strategy leaders to help them apply strategic foresight, systems thinking and human-centred design to their products, services and strategies. Emily’s background is in program design, strategy and implementation for innovation and technology-driven companies. Emily has worked in the innovation ecosystem for a number of years and previously led strategic partnerships and initiatives at OneEleven, Canada’s leading innovation hub for growth-stage tech scale-ups. Emily has led projects for clients including Google, RBC, Loblaw, Roche Canada, and more. Emily holds a Masters of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University and an Honours B.Sc. in Global Health from the University of Toronto.

What is the cancellation policy, in case something comes up and I cannot attend anymore?

While the time is going to fly by fast, we do understand it’s tough to estimate your workload, schedule, and life in advance.
You can get a 100% refund if you cancel up to a month before the summit. You can also request a 50% refund up to two weeks before the summit.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We’re working on getting some preferred rates for hotels close to the summit venue. We’ll keep you posted.

What does the summit price include?

Your ticket includes the access to the conference, an invite to the summit app and slack group. You’ll also get access to the DLS official party, some way cool swag, and all the fun activities we have planned at the event.

I need a visa in order to come to Canada for the Design Leadership Summit. Can you help with this?

Yes, we can write you a letter of recommendation for you to apply for a visa. Email support@designx.community your name, business address, and ticket order number. Please check with your local government office for any visas waiting periods
