Beyond Pixels: The Impact Past Design

About the Session

As we go through a paradigm shift in our profession through the advent of AI and its impact we need to explore craft amplifiers: the soft and technical skills that extend design’s influence beyond the interface and materialize into outcomes that matter for both customers and the business. Most importantly, they provide common and necessary footing for us to navigate and evolve ourselves as design, and tech as a whole is forced to transform. Join Lenny and Armin as they discussion the 4 main craft amplifiers: Business acumen, Data fluency, Stakeholder management, and Technical acumen that are key to taking work beyond the pixel and into the heart of business impact. In this session, they’ll draw from decades of experience leading teams and provide strategies and frameworks they’re using to up-skill them and their teams for the new working landscape.

About the Speaker

Armin is a Group Product Design Manager at Intuit. He’s currently responsible for the HCM, EWA, and Time efforts within Workforce Solutions, and leverages the Design craft in conjunction with technical expertise, and a data informed position to deliver durable enterprise experiences that provide value for both customers and the business. Previously, he worked at ecobee, and Ample Organics (both acquired) in design leadership roles, and IBM consulting. His background is in Industrial Engineering, with a focus on Human Factors.
