About the Speaker

An early designer at Apple and Lead Designer for Beats by Dre, Robert is a globally acclaimed product designer with over 40 years of experience. Robert built the pioneering internal corporate design organization, Apple IDg, for Apple and was a partner at the world’s largest design consultancy, Pentagram. Under his leadership, Ammunition has developed iconic products such as Lyft’s in-car icons, the Square Stand, and Polaroid’s latest digital photography line. Robert has been named one of Fast Company’s “Most Creative People in Business” and is the co-author of the book “Do You Matter? How Great Design Will Make People Love Your Company.”

What sets a good design apart from a great one? The answer is an unwavering, almost religious commitment to doing it right. Reflecting on his 40-year career designing iconic products for Apple, Beats, and more, Robert will break down his unique design ideology and perspective and the key ideas and behaviors that result in building something truly great. He’ll share both high level concepts and tactical lessons from his experience designing game-changing products and brands that, at their core, get to the heart of design, development and leadership practices, and commitment that makes products beyond good.

What is the cancellation policy, in case something comes up and I cannot attend anymore?

While the time is going to fly by fast, we do understand it’s tough to estimate your workload, schedule, and life in advance.
You can get a 100% refund if you cancel up to a month before the summit. You can also request a 50% refund up to two weeks before the summit.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We’re working on getting some preferred rates for hotels close to the summit venue. We’ll keep you posted.

What does the summit price include?

Your ticket includes the access to the conference, an invite to the summit app and slack group. You’ll also get access to the DLS official party, some way cool swag, and all the fun activities we have planned at the event.

I need a visa in order to come to Canada for the Design Leadership Summit. Can you help with this?

Yes, we can write you a letter of recommendation for you to apply for a visa. Email support@designx.community your name, business address, and ticket order number. Please check with your local government office for any visas waiting periods
