A conference is an accelerated way to level up your knowledge and skills while connecting with peers who can relate to your challenges. However, most of us retain as little as 5% of the content, struggle to implement learnings to our daily practice, and continue to feel alone in the journey. We want to fix that.


Building Cohorts

4 weeks after the conference, we’ll survey all  attendees to understand the impact of DLS on their leadership journeys and what challenges they continue to face.

Based on the survey findings and your profile, we will group you with other design leaders facing similar challenges, forming your Leadership Cohort.

While there will be a lot of value in connecting with other leaders and sharing notes, tools, frameworks – each cohort will also have mentorship sessions led by experts, including some of our current and past speakers, to help guide them through obstacles in their leadership journey for an 8-week period.

I do not manage or lead a team. Can I attend the Design Leadership Summit?

The content and programming of the summit is focused exclusively on folks currently managing and leading design and/or product teams. We will be releasing a small block of tickets for future leaders (currently ICs). Stay tuned.

What does the summit price include?

Your ticket includes not only access to the conference, but breakfast, lunch, and two snacks on both days. You’ll also get access to the DLS official party, some way cool swag, and all the fun activities we have planned at the event.

What is the cancellation policy, in case something comes up and I cannot attend anymore?

While the time is going to fly by fast, we do understand it’s tough to estimate your workload, schedule, and life in advance.
You can get a 100% refund if you cancel up to a month before the summit. You can also request a 50% refund up to two weeks before the summit.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Downtown Toronto has a lot of hotel options, for different neighborhoods, budgets, and preferences. We’ve also partnered with Marriott’s Westin Harbour Castle (a 4-star hotel right on the Ontario Lake) and located close to CN tower and other tourist attractions, to get you exclusive discounted prices. Email us and we can pass on the details to you.

How long should I stay in Toronto

The conference is on Nov. 4 & Nov. 5, i.e. Monday & Tuesday. We recommend coming to Toronto, latest by Nov. 3rd, so you can be part of the opening keynote at the summit on Nov 4th. We’ll also have an after-party on Nov. 5th and all workshops will be planned for Nov 6th.

I need a visa in order to come to Toronto for the Design Leadership Summit. Can you help with this?

Yes, we can write you a letter of recommendation for you to apply for a visa. Email events@designx.community your name, business address, and ticket order number. Please check with your local government office for any visas waiting periods. If for some reason you cannot obtain a visa, we will refund your ticket.
